DR. JAIME EMMETSBERGER, PHD
Dr. Emmetsberger joined the Advanced Technology Pioneering Departments of Skin Physiology and Pharmacology of the Estee Lauder Companies in 2015. With a background in neuroscience, Dr. Emmetsberger’s research mainly focuses on neuro-cutaneous biology such as skin sensation, neuro-cutaneous signaling and cutaneous neuro-modulation. Her other main area of research focuses on the effects of cellular senescence and its contribution to skin aging.

DR. KENJI KABASHIMA,
MD, PHD
Dr. Kabashima is Japanese board certified in Dermatology
and Allergology and became Professor and Head of the Department
of Dermatology at Kyoto University in 2015. His research focus
is the pathogenesis of inflammatory skin diseases (atopic dermatitis,
contact dermatitis, and psoriasis), 3D visualization of skin using
two-photon microscopy and drug development. Throughout his
career, Dr. Kabashina has published more than 700 original
peer-reviewed papers, and is a member of the editorial board
of several well-established journals.

DR. MICHAEL GOLD, MD
Dr. Gold has earned worldwide recognition for providing patients with leading-edge technological advances in dermatology and aesthetic skin care. He plays an integral role in the development of new pharmaceutical products, injectable fillers and toxins, skin care and medical devices through his clinical research practice, and has authored over 500 published scientific articles and 40 textbook chapters.

PAUL TCHINNIS
With over 30 years of experience in the beauty industry, Paul Tchinnis, Executive Director of The Max Huber Research Labs, has spent more than twenty of them developing some of the most iconic and breakthrough innovations in La Mer’s portfolio. Paul’s journey at La Mer began in the laboratory as a master formulator, where he helped personally create many of the brand’s beloved treatments. He now manages the entire La Mer R&D skincare team, acting as a driving force in the technical conceptualization and execution of brand pillars. Paul holds a Bachelor’s in Biology from Stony Brook University and Masters in Business from Dowling College and is on the board of the Long Island Society of Cosmetic Chemists.
